Mason

OUR STORY

Birds have been part of Mason's life for as long as anyone can remember.

He received his first pair of binoculars when he was just four years old and quickly became fascinated by the birds around him. Long before Black Bird Joy existed, family walks often became birding adventures, with Mason stopping to watch birds, ask questions, and learn their names.

At just 18 months old, Mason joined his first international birding adventure while traveling with his family. Since then, he has explored forests, wetlands, beaches, mountains, grasslands, and wildlife habitats across more than 12 countries, discovering birds and wildlife wherever his travels have taken him.

Today, Mason birds nearly every day. He loves discovering new species, learning about bird behavior, listening to bird songs, and documenting what he sees through photography and field notes.

Black Bird Joy grew from that passion and became a place to share discoveries, celebrate curiosity, and inspire others to explore the natural world.
